What We Make
Custom-fitted bimini tops, extensions, and dodgers for Lake Simcoe sun and afternoon chop. Marine-grade Sunbrella, stainless or powder-coated aluminum frames. Sized and tensioned for the actual boat, not a generic catalog cut.
Mooring covers, cockpit covers, travel covers, and full side-curtain enclosures. Built to handle Lake Simcoe's full season cycle: hot summer UV, fall haul-out, freeze-thaw on covered storage, and the wet shoulder seasons either side.
Cockpit seats, helm seats, interior settees, V-berth cushions, and custom inserts. Match OEM for a factory look, or upgrade materials when you want something that holds up longer than what came from the builder.
Why This Shop
Grand Harbour Marina sits at 150 Laguna Pkwy in Lagoon City, on the east side of Lake Simcoe. That's right in the canal network the Lagoon City community is built on, and it's a short hop for boats based out of Brechin, Beaverton, Orillia, Ramara, and the Atherley Narrows. If your boat lives anywhere on the east side of the lake, you're closer to us than you are to most other canvas shops.
Lake Simcoe canvas has a particular set of demands: a tight summer season with hard UV, fall storms that load up covers fast, and stored boats that sit through Ontario freeze-thaw cycles all winter. Cover weight, seam placement, and frame geometry all factor into whether a cover lasts five seasons or two. We pick those for the conditions, not for what's cheapest off the roll.
Canvas is also rarely the only thing on a boat owner's list. Our Grand Harbour shop runs detailing, fiberglass, and winterization out of the same team, so a single drop-off can knock several jobs off at once instead of bouncing between vendors.
Materials & Warranty
We match the right material to the right application, and we stand behind the workmanship regardless of which fabric we use.

Common Questions
Aim for the off-season if you can. Late fall through early spring runs faster, often 2 weeks for a new build. Spring peak (March through May) commonly stretches to 3–4 weeks for new builds. Repairs are usually quicker. The earlier you can lock a slot before launch, the easier it is to hit your target date.
In some cases, yes. Most measure-and-fit work happens at our Grand Harbour shop with the boat in, but for boats already at home marinas around the lake (Beaverton, Brechin, Orillia, Ramara, Atherley) we can sometimes arrange an on-site measure. Ask when you book.
For full canvas and shade, Sunbrella. For clear enclosure window panels, Stamoid (more UV-resistant than standard vinyl, which matters on the lake). For seating, Sunbrella Horizon marine vinyl with its microbial pinking coverage. Material choice is also driven by whether the boat is moored, slipped, or covered through winter, so we'll talk through that when we quote.
Yes, in most cases. Send photos with measurements and we'll quote the repair. We can't honor another shop's warranty, but we can handle restitching, zipper replacement, panel patches, frame work, and clear panel replacement on almost any marine canvas.
Yes. Canvas, detailing, fiberglass, and winterization all happen out of the Grand Harbour shop. One booking, one team, one invoice instead of stitching together three vendors.
